Privacy policy
This policy covers younivi.com and the related Younivi publications Cash Rate, Price Index, GDP, House Price, Wages, Unemployment and Holidays. The agency is YOUNIVI LIMITED (NZBN 9429052621109), Auckland, New Zealand. We treat personal information in line with New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020.
We collect only what we need to operate the sites. We do not sell personal information. We do not run user accounts on this hub.
Information we handle
- Hosting logs. Our hosting and CDN provider (Cloudflare) may log IP addresses, request paths, user-agent strings, and timestamps for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Those logs are processed as part of delivering the sites.
- Local preferences. Theme choice (light or dark) may be stored in your browser’s local storage. That value does not leave your browser as a form of account data.
- Email you send us. If you write to [email protected], we keep the message long enough to reply and to handle a correction. Do not send identification documents unless we ask.
Google AdSense
Younivi uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-6557770900386479, listed in ads.txt) to show advertising on younivi.com and on the product hosts. Google, as a third-party vendor, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, measure their performance, and — depending on your settings and the region — personalise ads based on your visits to this site and others.
Google’s use of information from these sites is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. We do not control Google’s independent processing of the data it collects through AdSense.
Third-party advertising and your choices
Advertising is served through Google AdSense and its partners. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies or similar technologies, and may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and ad-interaction data, to serve and measure ads. Younivi does not see or store that advertising data; the vendors process it under their own policies. You can manage or turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or block third-party cookies in your browser. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them less likely to be based on your browsing history.
Retention and international transfers
We do not run a visitor database, so there is no account history for us to retain. Hosting and CDN logs are kept only as long as they are needed for security, reliability, and abuse prevention, then discarded or overwritten on the provider’s schedule. Email is kept only long enough to reply and to document a correction.
Our providers, including Cloudflare and Google, may process data outside New Zealand under their own safeguards and standard contractual terms rather than on a Younivi-operated system. Because the sites are static and offer no accounts, there is nothing for you to log in to and delete; a request about provider-held data can still be sent to us.
Children
Younivi publishes economic and government statistics for a general audience. The sites are reference material, not a service directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020
You may ask for access to personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to correct it. Requests can go to [email protected] or via the contact page. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand.
